Jenni Finlay

Jenni Finlay is co-author of Kent Finlay, Dreamer: The Musical Legacy behind Cheatham Street Warehouse (Texas A&M University Press, 2016) and the poetry collection Table for One (Mezcalita Press, 2015). Finlay and Brian T. Atkinson own Eight 30 Records and have co-produced Cold and Bitter Tears: The Songs of Ted Hawkins (2015), Danny Barnes’ Got Myself Together (Ten Years Later) (2015) and Kent Finlay, Dreamer (2016). Finlay manages acclaimed songwriter James McMurtry and has owned and operated Jenni Finlay Promotions for more than a decade. Her monthly newsletter reaches nearly 30,000 readers. Additionally, Finlay and Atkinson own Burgundy Red Films and host the bi-monthly house concert series Catfish Concerts in Austin, Texas. Brian T. Atkinson

Brian T. Atkinson is the author of I’ll Be Here in the Morning: The Songwriting Legacy of Townes Van Zandt (Texas A&M University Press, 2012) and co-author of Kent Finlay, Dreamer: The Musical Legacy behind Cheatham Street Warehouse (Texas A&M University Press, 2016). He and Jenni Finlay own Eight 30 Records and have co-produced Cold and Bitter Tears: The Songs of Ted Hawkins, Kent Finlay, Dreamer and Danny Barnes’ Got Myself Together (Ten Years Later). The Austin-based writer and photographer’s work regularly appears in the Austin American-Statesman and on CMT.com.

Atkinson’s “For the Sake of the Song: The Outlaws of Americana,” an exhibit of live concert photography, has shown in Austin, Denver and Seattle. He has written liner notes for Cold and Bitter Tears (Eight 30 Records), Danny Barnes’ Got Myself Together (Eight 30 Records), This One’s for Him: A Tribute to Guy Clark (Music Road Records, 2011), and others.
